Sunday Stamping #2

Image
Hey there stampers!  Today I have a card featuring Stampin' Up! products.  There's only five days left in our annual Sale-a-bration sale! I wanted to feature one of the stamp sets you can earn for free by spending fifty dollars or more in my online store.  Make a Medallion stamp set (143274)is a versatile, elegant set that can be used for so many occasions. I have to tell you, I made a video tutorial for this card but deleted it because of my many faux pas! At one point in the video, I went to open up my so saffron ink pad and the entire thing went flying across my desk ending up in two pieces!  Add that incident along with my continuous use of the word "um" and it was a recipe for disaster.  I don't know how so many people can execute such successful Youtube videos and make it look easy. I'm always nervous! I'll have to keep on practicing but until then, I have several step by step pictures (thank you iPhone) to show how I made this card: I comb...

Sunday Stamping #1

Image
Lately I haven't found much interest in making anything! Being a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I felt like I had to produce and when I feel like that, I don't produce. Don't get me wrong, I love Stampin' Up! and all other company products I collect but it's as if someone is telling me I have to do something and I don't like being told what to do...ever! So, I decided I'd take a break, come back and spend some time in my craft studio on Sundays no matter what I was feeling at the moment, and you know what? I produced! There is a little thing called "retail therapy" I think it helped in my production this weekend. I'm a huge fan of Unity Stamps and I recently received an order from their newest release.  This, along with a new set of the entire Tombow marker collection got me in the groove to create some cards. Aren't they pretty?!!! Thanks to a late night listening of Amy Rysavy of Prairie Paper and Ink  periscope broadcast where s...

Lift Me Up

Image
Stampin' Up! has a wonderful bundle in the Occasions catalog that I was fortunate enough to get. The Lift me up bundle includes not only the stamp set, but the coordinating dies, and if you purchase them together you save 10%.  It's a great deal because the set is so versatile. You can use it for birthday cards, thank you cards or just a pick me up card to a close friend or family member. I made this card using the bundle along with the stitched shapes frame lets. You can check out how I made this card here:

I'm on YouTube!

I decide a couple months ago to try my hand at making card/craft videos. I, of course, have no idea what I'm doing but it's kinda fun, gets me out of my comfort zone. I'd really like to grow an audience, not only for my Stampin' Up! business but for the simple opportunity to show what I love to do. It would be great to make new friends along the way. I don't have anyone local that I can craft with. I have an entire room in my house all to myself and I'd like to share my hobby with people who can appreciate it.  Please come take a look and subscribe! I still haven't figured out how to edit my videos yet but I'm determined to learn!

New Year, New Adventures and Sale A Bration!!!

Image
Last year I signed up to be a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator. I have always been a fan of their products but could never find a local demonstrator that would actually send me catalogs and keep me informed on a regular basis. So, there happens to be a wonderful crafty lady, whom I've followed online for years. She inspired me to sign up to sell Stampin' Up! and her name is Robyn, aka MyPinkStamper . I feel fortunate to be a part of her awesome team. We even have our own t-shirts! I'm so in love with the quality of Stampin' Up! products and how everything coordinates so well! Most of my posts will focus on these products but not always. I've amassed quite a collection of card making and crafting supplies over the years that I can't imagine not utilizing them someway along with my Stampin' Up! products. The more the merrier! Right now is THE BEST time of year to either purchase Stampin' Up or become a demonstrator yourself! I'd lov...

SSS December 1215 Card Kit

Image
I finally had some time to dig into my SSS card kit for December and per usual, the card kit did not disappoint when it came to the wonderful selection of products and beautifully designed stamp set by Kristina Werner . However, I was disappointed with the quality of the stamp set because as my luck would have it, I received a flawed set. I realize this does not happen often because it's a first for me and I've been a subscriber to their kits for over three years now. Despite the flawed stamp set, I made a couple of cute cards. You can see the lines that run through the sentiments on both cards but I don't think it detracts so much that the recipient will notice or even care. What do you think?

MFT Product and Card Challenge Share

As this photo clearly shows, I got a little crazy with my Wink of Stella clear brush marker .  Don't we all? I couldn't help it.  This new stamp set, along with the new dies from MFT Stamps, is too cute!  I would highly recommend checking out their new stamps and dies.  They also have several new colors of ink and card stock.  I used one of the new red card stocks, called Chili Powder in making this card.  It's a great red for Christmas cards! Another color of card stock I reach for often is Primitive White Card stock .  You can see it here as the base and sentiment tag for a card I created for the MFT Sketch Challenge # 253. Is it possible to have too much glitter, gold and sequins?  I think not. Stay Golden Pony Boy!
