MFT (My Favorite Things) Get Sketchy Card #192

I've been a fan of MFT for years now.  I've often admired all the great inspiration their blog requires yet, for some odd reason, I've never participated...until now.

I have a ton of their products.  Dies mostly but I've acquired a good amount of stamps to go along with those dies.  I have yet to buy their inks but I've coveted them.  It seems odd that I've somehow found this card to be "the one" that is privy enough for a challenge entry. I don't know what the hell is wrong with me, I could've, should've, have...done better.  It's all in the timing though, right?  I've got time now, so....

This is the card I made with inspiration from Get Sketchy Card #192

My daughter had a birthday party to go to this weekend so I made this card utilizing the sketch.  I like it enough.  More importantly...will they?

I've been into making cards for the past five years or so.  Like a lot of paper crafters, I started out scrap booking.  I still do it but there is something about making a card that gives instant gratification to my impatient creative mind.  I love to have a project done start to finish in  a good hour.  Not so when it comes to scrap booking because there's all these moments, pictures and times to remember.  I might be exaggerating but that's how it seems to me. I have been MIA for awhile on my blog and feel like I have some 'splaining to do...I got a full time job. I haven't worked a full time job in eighteen years. When I had my daughter (she's 18 now) I went to part time work so I could take care of her, then to full time stay at home mom when I had my second daughter. We never wanted anyone else taking care of our kids, and like so many other parents out there, we decided I would only work part time if needed while we raised our kids. I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to be there for my children when they needed me most. I have to say that it was and always has been a conscious choice. Life is full of choices and we chose to have two wonderful children with a Mom who could stay home to raise them. I know what it's like to be left to daycare, preschools, babysitters and family members while growing up and I never wanted that for my own children.
