We were given 2 sketches ahead of time to put our spin on and present to you today and tomorrow. The winner will be receiving a sample pack of items from Daisy's vintage Zibbet shop!! My rendition:



For this Sketch I used a card base made from Paper Trey Ink Vintage White card stock, Pink Paislee Spring Jubilee 6x6 collection pack papers, Recollection Pearls, Martha Stewart trio of Butterflies punch, Fiskars Apron Lace border punch, an old journal spot from Jenni Bowlin (I'm actually not quite sure on that one, it's so old!) and Ranger Distress Ink in Tea Dye.

I really liked working with this sketch because of the design.  I thought the sketch was pleasing to the eye at first glance.  It seemed simple yet intricate at the same time.  I do wish that I had used a different combination of colors though.  I love the Pink Paislee papers and had just bought them, so, I think in my eagerness to use the collection pack, I didn't edit my color selection well.  I still love this card and all the inspiration from the Tsunamirosedesigns Sketch.

    Fabulous card, I'm always in need of some thinking of you or sympathy cards and this is just perfect, would be great to make a few and have them ready (you never feel like making a sympathy card when you need one!) TFS, awesome!

I have been MIA for awhile on my blog and feel like I have some 'splaining to do...I got a full time job. I haven't worked a full time job in eighteen years. When I had my daughter (she's 18 now) I went to part time work so I could take care of her, then to full time stay at home mom when I had my second daughter. We never wanted anyone else taking care of our kids, and like so many other parents out there, we decided I would only work part time if needed while we raised our kids. I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to be there for my children when they needed me most. I have to say that it was and always has been a conscious choice. Life is full of choices and we chose to have two wonderful children with a Mom who could stay home to raise them. I know what it's like to be left to daycare, preschools, babysitters and family members while growing up and I never wanted that for my own children.
