My Fave Monday...Online shoppe
Imagine your LSS (local scrapbook store) online. That's the only way I can think to explain it. Think Etsy.com, Zibbit.com, etc...mostly because I can't think of any others right now, but you get the point. It's not your big box kinda atmosphere. It's personalized service right at your finger tips.
The great thing about buying product from these stores is not just the obvious convenience of buying from your home but the service and products they offer. I also feel good about helping, for lack of a better term, Mom and Pop type businesses because they cater to their customer, just like my LSS do.
Whether you're looking for the latest trendy product, if that's your thing, or kits to inspire your crafting endeavours, chances are they'll have it. And if they don't they're more likely to work with you on finding it and or point you in the right direction to get it.
Not so much at say, Michael's, who steal ten dollars from you and act like your coupons are coming right out of their payroll. I admit, I have a personal agenda with said box store right now. It's been over a month since I've set foot inside one, let alone bought anything. Which is hard for me to fathom considering I used to shop there once a week or more...
You know what, don't even get me started!
So now that I've ventured out of my comfort zone and seen what these shoppes have to offer I thought I'd share them with you. Why not take a look and see what they have to offer.
Here is what I got at http://www.zibbet.com/MBsTreasurista
The laces and fabric flowers I ordered are so pretty! And with every order she includes a free gift, which is a nice touch and something I didn't expect when I received my package in the mail.
While you're there check out http://www.zibbet.com/craftytexaswoman . She just started her store and sells everything hand made. Her flowers are beautiful.
I also decided to make a mini album, something I haven't done for awhile, when I saw these mini kits that
http://www.zibbet.com/shabbybeautiful/artwork?artworkId=812410 offered.
This is the one I bought. It's nice that all her papers fit perfectly with all the chipboard pieces.
This is the mini album I made with the kit.
And some of the inside pages.
Lately on almost all my projects, I've been reaching for Lindy Stamp Gang inks and sprays to either add shimmer to my papers or dye fabric and flowers. I used these on the mini pictured above to dye some of the flowers. Often they have coupons and sales which make their products an even better investment compared to the alternative. I got this kit 20% off with a free gift included!
There is so much great product and service out there in Online Shoppe land. Sure, it takes a few days but I'd rather wait for good product with great service than get overpriced, immediate product with mediocre service at best.
At least when it comes to Michael's anyway.
Feel free to share your favorite shoppes. An artist can never have too many supplies!
