My Fave Monday...Challenges

Okay...I admit, I'm highly competitive.  I attribute that fact to being the youngest of seven siblings.  There's just no getting away from a competitive spirit when you grow up having to claim things as "yours" so nobody else in the house will take them.

One of my favorite comedians says it best...

I know, it has nothing to do with crafting or what my favorite is this Monday but it cracks me up just the same!

Lately, my biggest challenge has been getting myself to craft or write pretty much anything these past few weeks.  It's like my Mojo bypassed the front door, opting for the quick getaway, right out the window!  I could have swore it said, "Sayonara Dude!" on it's merry way out, giving no clue as to when it will be back!

I missed it at first and like any other codependent relationship, I blamed myself.  Then I realized it had nothing to do with me and more to do with life and it's inconvenient circumstances.  It happens to the best of us no matter how presumptuous that may sound.

So when I'm looking for a new Mojo because you know there is no replacing the first, I enter a craft challenge.  It's nothing I have to think of myself.  The only motivation required is to say you're going to show up and do it.  Sometimes there might be an incentive at the end, like free product or recognition, but honestly that is never my motivation.  My reason for doing a challenge is simply to get back in the crafting game and if it means having someone else ask me to make something, I'm up for it!

The challenge, that is, and I'm thinking the whole competitive by nature thing, might have something to do with it.  So this is a perfect place for me to start...I Am Roses Challenge Blog.
It's my fave this Monday and a great place for me and those of you, looking for a little motivation or "Mojo" for short.

This is the layout I made for the Green, gold and glitter I Am Roses challenge.
And a card I made for Creating the Crafty Life card challenge...

That's about as ambitious as I've gotten so far.
