My Fave Monday...Christmas is over

I hope everyone had a Wonderful Christmas filled with family, friends and love.  It's the love that completes the holidays.  The love of the season, the reason and the focus of it all, family and friends.  I feel so fortunate to have the few people in my life I cherish and that cherish  me.  They're the ones that make it okay to be who I am and I couldn't ask for anything more.  I wish that for all of you!

Now that it's over...

I have to say my favorite for this Monday...is that simple fact. I like uncluttered, simple normalcy.  It's what makes me happy.  The Holiday Season is a joyous time and one worth the celebration but when it's done, so am I.



Now let us get on to the New year!

I've been into making cards for the past five years or so.  Like a lot of paper crafters, I started out scrap booking.  I still do it but there is something about making a card that gives instant gratification to my impatient creative mind.  I love to have a project done start to finish in  a good hour.  Not so when it comes to scrap booking because there's all these moments, pictures and times to remember.  I might be exaggerating but that's how it seems to me. I have been MIA for awhile on my blog and feel like I have some 'splaining to do...I got a full time job. I haven't worked a full time job in eighteen years. When I had my daughter (she's 18 now) I went to part time work so I could take care of her, then to full time stay at home mom when I had my second daughter. We never wanted anyone else taking care of our kids, and like so many other parents out there, we decided I would only work part time if needed while we raised our kids. I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to be there for my children when they needed me most. I have to say that it was and always has been a conscious choice. Life is full of choices and we chose to have two wonderful children with a Mom who could stay home to raise them. I know what it's like to be left to daycare, preschools, babysitters and family members while growing up and I never wanted that for my own children.
